Prudential: Selecting a drawdown team? Consider PruFund in your line up

Delivering income in retirement.

The Budget has fuelled plenty of speculation around how clients will respond to the proposed pension flexibility. However, in reality most clients will still be facing similar challenges at retirement as they did prior to 27th March.

Market volatility will still be an issue, life expectancy is still predicted to increase over the next 20 years and the certainty of a sustainable income in retirement will continue to be appealing to many clients.

Managing a sustainable income in retirement

Income drawdown could help give your client some control and flexibility over their pension fund. As well as allowing access to some of their funds now, they will also have the ability to take an income while leaving their remaining funds invested and open for potential growth and providing income in the future.

How can Prudential help?

Our Flexible Retirement Plan (FRP) comes with drawdown built in. The minimum investment level, where income drawdown is selected only, has recently been reduced from £50,000 to £25,000 - making this product accessible to even more clients.

PruFund available to drawdown clients

FRPs drawdown option offers a range of investment funds that can assist with both short and long-term financial planning. This includes our range of PruFunds, multi-asset funds that aim to deliver steady fund performance over the medium to long-term, whilst also smoothing some of the extreme ups and downs of short-term investment performance.

Matching investment return requirements

Every quarter we announce the Expected Growth Rates (EGRs)for each of our PruFund funds. These EGRs are not guaranteed, but they do provide an indication of the potential investment growth and could help enhance retirement income planning and manage the remaining pension fund.
