Panacea Adviser celebrates seven years of supporting advisers
London, 28 February 2014 - Panacea Adviser (Panacea) the online community and resource for directly regulated financial advisers and paraplannners, celebrates its seventh anniversary as a leading site for the advisory community.
Since 2007, Panacea has grown its community from 100 advisers, supported by just eight providers, to an active community of approximately 17,000 today, supported by 40 providers offering a range of tools and research. In the last quarter of 2013 alone, Panacea provided support to 9,644 firms, who in turn produced over £1.663 billion in premium income. A total of £7.248 billion was produced throughout the year.
Derek Bradley, Chief Executive Officer, Panacea Adviser said: “I am very proud of how Panacea has grown its community. We have successfully supported financial advisers, paraplanners and mortgage brokers throughout industry-wide changes such as the RDR and now the removal of trail commission.
“We have expanded our offering of free tools and support services over the years and continue to act as a much-needed voice for advisers, to debate and challenge the regulator and other policymakers about issues affecting our community.
“The whole team at Panacea is immensely pleased with what we have achieved and we look forward to the future and to remain as the destination for advisers, paraplanners, providers and support services alike to engage in discussions and exchange views on concerns affecting their businesses.”
John Joe McGinley, Head of Business Brain, Aegon – a partner of Panacea for the last 7 years added: "Panacea understand the advisory profession. Their community has grown because advisers and paraplanners see the benefits it adds and believes that their voice is being heard. As a provider Aegon has been proud to work with Panacea over the last few years because in Sarah, Derek and James they have individuals who get it and realise that the advisory profession has to change or die. It has been refreshing to work with Panacea on business development and social media thought leadership as we strive to ensure that we help advisers understand and overcome the challenges that they face from not only regulatory but social and economic changes.”
