Aviva: Our platform has the lang cat purring

Aviva scoops ‘Platform of the Year’ award

The Aviva Platform has been named ‘Platform of the Year’ by financial services consultancy the lang cat, beating stiff competition from across the market.

The consultancy praised Aviva for delivering ‘incredible’ growth in assets under administration (AUA) over the past 12 months – and for providing advisers with a high quality platform.

A spokesperson for the Lang cat said: “This has been the year that Aviva Platform always promised to have and we’re chuffed that it’s delivered.                       

“Aviva has delivered incredible numbers throughout the last year, which is no mean feat. [The platform’s] AUA is up 64% on last year – no other platform has managed that. And keep in mind that Aviva is generally dealing in smaller cases – that adds up to a lot of satisfied advisers.”

In the past year, Aviva has been working hard behind the scenes to make a number of improvements to the platform.  Administration has improved, with documents and paperwork being dealt with more quickly, and the platform technology itself has become ever more reliable.  

Other developments have included a redesigned fund research area, and the launch of an innovative Pension Trust.  

Tim Orton, CEO of the Aviva Platform, said: “Winning the lang cat’s Platform of the Year 2017 award is a great achievement and is due to the support of a growing number of advisers and the hard work and focus Aviva gives to the platform. 

An upgraded Aviva Platform – designed to be faster, smarter and even more intuitive to use – is set to launch in the near future, and Mr Orton said Aviva wouldn’t be resting on its laurels following the award win.

“Thank you to all those advisers who’ve worked with us in 2017 and we look forward to developing closer relationships during the next phase of our development,” added Mr Orton.
