Fidelity: Our survey - see how your peers voted

At the end of last year, we surveyed more than 450 financial advisers to understand how they see the investment outlook for 2017, the asset classes they are focusing on and what sectors are important for their clients’ portfolios.

Investment trends

74% of you think that equities will provide the best asset class return in 2017 - compared to 71% a year ago

Only 6% of advisers said they would be adding government bonds to their clients’ portfolios this year

Perhaps to be expected, Brexit negotiations and political issues were seen as the key concerns

This uncertainty is seeing a drop in optimistic sentiment across advisers and clients compared to a year ago
